It is likely that many persons reading this will remember reading the Northern European folk story known as ‘The Stone Soup’. The Stone Soup is a..”folk story in which hungry strangers convince the people of a town to each share a small amount of their food in order to make a meal that everyone enjoys, and exists as a moral regarding the value of sharing.” *

The moral imperative of sharing with others is well-defined in the story’s telling! Many persons likely remember, too, learning as children that the value of the gifts we give as being greater than those we receive!

The story of Stone Soup provides a nearly perfect allegory for Mindful SWFL’s quest to construct our living, breathing, functional Hemp Heart Home!

Becoming aware of this parallel has made it necessary to re-examine our means to be successful in this pursuit. Simply put, constructing a tiny home on wheels that is designed to serve as a primary residence, home office, and weekend classroom is no small task! Maybe ‘daunting’ is a more descriptive and appropriate term.

While we have managed to source and confirm the availability of many materials we wish to utilize, our bigger task of securing our funding, build site, materials, and professional oversight is what we now face! In fact, many of our intended suppliers are excited to see us get underway with the build. This is a great motivator to see our project through!

While many persons are supportive of our initiative, we realize that soliciting donations to support our build-out has necessitated that we take a more focused approach to create funding initiatives! Mindful SWFL is ALL ABOUT COMMUNITY! Completing our project will enable us to inform, educate, and even provide the opportunity for persons to see, feel, and experience the reality of living tiny, sustainably, and with a minimalist approach.

Stay tuned! We are committed to keeping you up-to-date and promise to be relentless in our efforts to bring our idea to fruition! Most importantly, we want to ‘Thank You’ for your support! It really means everything to us!
