On August 18th, the popular singer-songwriter competition returns! Experience an evening of original music from local and national competitors. See performers compete for amazing prizes including the Grand Prize, which offers recording time at Six Fingers Studios and a spot at the Island Hopper Singer Songwriter Festival, a 10-day music festival in September featuring performances by the greatest singer-songwriters from Nashville and nationwide.

The annual competition focuses on original musicians in the singer songwriter genre. Competitors submit a video of themselves performing an original song, and judges determine the Grand Prize winner, while the audience has a chance to vote for the People’s Choice winner. The deadline to enter is August 9.

Gather at the SBDAC for the final performance of the Sounds of Summer Series, and support local, original music, the night will continue each Sounds of Summer Night at Sidney’s Rooftop Sculpture Garden with DJ Dream Jay from 8:00 p.m.- 11:00 p.m. SBDAC is pleased to offer these entertaining summertime opportunities to get out, have some fun, and enjoy some live local music at the historic art center!
