Visitors will immerse themselves in old Florida wilderness on the boardwalk as it meanders through pine, flatwood, wet prairie, marshes, and the largest old-growth bald cypress forest in North America. The Sanctuary is also home to ghost orchids, hundreds of alligators, otters, white-tailed deer, red-bellied turtles, and a wide variety of wading birds, songbirds, and raptors.

Boardwalk Naturalists will be available to explain more about the local flora and fauna observed at dusk. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the boardwalk will close at 10 p.m., with the last admission at 8:15 p.m. Sunset will be at 8:14 and moonrise at 8:39 p.m.

If you might like to use a flashlight while on the boardwalk at night, please bring a red light flashlight if you have one. Otherwise we will have red cellophane available at our admission desk for anyone with a white light flashlight to cover their lens with. Red light is better for preserving our night vision and also is less disturbing for wildlife.

The Nature Store will be open from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. for snacks, drinks, and souvenirs. Help support the Boardwalk with a purchase of a nature oriented product. All proceeds go back to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary! Remember Members receive 10% off.

**Admission is $8.00 per person, $3.00 for youth aged 6-14, and free for Corkscrew Members, and for children age 5 and under. Bring your friends along for a great time!
